As a Born-Again Christian and a firm believer in Genesis, I was delighted to find out that it could actually be backed by science! The way I found this out was first through a passing Creation Seminar taught by Steve Grohman in Omaha, NE. (The website for it is posted at www.creationseminar.net. I highly recommend watching his videos and going to a seminar if it comes nearby!) When I walked in I was a simple Sunday schooled ten-year-old child who could not really back up Genesis by my own devices BUT when I walked out I had more than enough in my tool-box.
Within several years my mother discovered AiG. (Answers in Genesis. Their website is posted at www.answersingenesis.org) Soon after we decided to go to the Creation Museum along with church friends. Though the ride from Omaha, Nebraska to Petersburg, Kentucky was a long one,when we got there we were not let down.The Museum was state of the art. This visit came soon after my family went of a family reunion on Thanksgiving in Washington and inevitably we went to visit the Smithsonian museums, and so we got a good comparison. Though the Smithsonian was a great view, I found even more than I expected of evolutionary philosophies. Though I was prepared for the occasional "Thought to have existed duh-da-da-da-duh million years ago", they stated the ages as if they were fact. They even had an entire section on coal and an area for dating methods like radiometric dating a dating method pretty much completely debunked when scientists did it on a LIVING clam and it came back with several million years on it.... If that's true then MAN THAT IS ONE OLD CLAM!
